Hey there, New to the forum and also new to fantasy and lizardmen. I have played two games so far and seem to do well until I get into combat! Heres my list so far hopefully you guys can give me some advice to make it a little more potent!

410 - Slann mage, He has an item that gives him +1 spell and another that allows you to ignore your first miscast on a 2+ and pass it to an enemy mage. He also has a grub and 2 disciplines. One that gives you an extra power dice per spell and one that allows you to reroll miscasts. I normally take the Lore of fire.

    65 - skink priest
    65 - skink priest
I just use these guys to jump in with a squad of skinks and give the Slann lines of sight and range.

    270 - 20 saurus, spears, full cmd
    250 - 20 saurus, full command
These are my two main fighting units that stand just infront of the slann.

    70 - 10 skink skirmisher
    70 - 10 skink skirmisher
These guys normally do quite well
    100 - 20 skinks
    100 - 20 skinks
These did pretty well in my first game but mostly just died
    227 - 12 temple guard full cmmand
Slann goes here they, they stand behind the sauruses and try not to die
    225 - 3 salamanders
    150 - 2 salamanders
Love these two units, the salamanders do a lot of damage every game.

First of all you shouldnt point the point-cost for your troops.

In order to make it more competitive you should drop the units of regular skinks and also at least one shaman.

Another good idea is to break the salamanders upp into 3 units wich will cause more panic tests.

More TG is a good idea

Remove the ixti-grubs and change the dicipline that allows you to reroll miscasts into focus of mystery (in this case drop the plaque of tepok as well) or becalming cogitation. You should also know that fire, while fun, is not considdered one of the best lores. Try a new lore every game untill you find the one you like. LM players seem to favor light or life.

You might want to invest the points you get over into chameleon skinks, a saurus hero, some CoC a Stegadon or some teradons. You could also remove one of the units and fill the other one with 2 kroxigors since skrox units are way better than skink cohorts by themselves.

These are suggestions to make your army more competative and I can tell you that the strongest army is not allways the funniest one.
