8th Ed. NEW OLDBLOOD FINECAST MINIATURE :D

Anyone else just get the email!?!? Not only is the Oldblood being made a finecast, but they are releasing a completely new model!!!

Oldblood going resin? I believe it, but it doesn't seem to be on the advance order page yet. Plastic guy is up, as expected the only real option is two heads on the sprue, no other bits spare. The sharp teeth look good, nice sculpting and molding, but doesn't really suit the rest of the army.

I dont think the new oldblood comes with any options. They have the sprue up and it is 2 halves to one face.

Did you see the snake like model with the eldar fincast? I could see that being converted into a coatl or some other specail character (a count as). Just because it looks so cool.

Remove the guns and convert some hand weapons and a shield or something.

Yeah, I received the email too. The model by itself looks pretty good, though i'm unsure of the tongue. Don't get me wrong, I like it but not sure it fits in with the overall design of our current army. I'm wondering if this is the direction the Lizardmen will be going in the next model-design phase.

Ah right I obviously didn't look close enough, thought it was 2 heads not 2 halves of a head. Makes sense though, was wondering how they could get the sharp teeth without undercuts. It would have to be two halves. So no options then.

from looking at the sprues, I think this would make a good Gor-Rok model, with the large mace like weapon and larger shield.

I don't like the head and all those extra bits hanging off the weapon though. Looks kind of rediculous. Shield is nice. May get one just to convert.

Is it just me or does he look a little too square?

He seems to be made up completely of straight line - I'm not really sure if I like the model myself.
