Hi there, I'm currently finishing off my HE army and I want to start collecting Lizzies within the next few months. I've written two lists to aim for, at 1000 and 2500 points, and I'd like Some feedback on things I could improve. 1000 points Heroes (245) Skink Priest Level 2 Wizard; Plaque of Tepok. Saurus Scar-Veteran Light Armour; Dawnstone; Enchanted Shield. Core (455) 17 Saurus Warriors 18 Saurus Warriors 10 Skink Skirmishers Special (150) 5 Chameleon Skinks 3 Terradon Riders Rare (150) 1 Salamander Hunting Pack 1 Salamander Hunting Pack 1,000 points 2500 points Lords (460) Saurus Oldblood Carnosaur; Light Armour; Dawnstone; Sword of Bloodshed; Charmed Shield; Ironcurse Icon. Heroes (438) Saurus Scar-Veteran Cold One; Light Armour; Shield; Battle Standard; Burning Blade of Chotec; Talisman of Endurance. Skink Priest Level 2 Wizard; Dispel Scroll. Skink Priest Level 2 Wizard; Diadem of Power. Core (772) 28 Saurus Warriors Saurus Champion; Musician; Standard Bearer. 24 Saurus Warriors Saurus Champion; Musician; Standard Bearer. 10 Skink Skirmishers 10 Skink Skirmishers Special (395) 5 Chameleon Skinks 5 Chameleon Skinks 3 Terradon Riders 5 Cold One Cavalry Musician. Rare (435) 1 Salamander Hunting Pack • Additional Skink Handler 1 Salamander Hunting Pack • Additional Skink Handler Ancient Stegadon 2,500 points In the second list I've thought about switching the ancient steg for an EotG, but then I'd have to drop the 2nd priest, so I'm not sure. Also, I hear Saurus cav are pretty poor, but how do people think they'll work with the BSB in there as support for the carnosaur? I will field a Slann list I'm sure, but I love the Carnosaur model, and I love the cavalry prince that HE can field so this is my attempt of a Lizard version of that. What does everyone think?
I really like the 2500 point list. So much flank hitting goodness. For the old blood, I would consider trading the ironcurse icon and dawn stone for the Talisman of Preservation. Makes cannons a little less threatening, magic is less threatening, and you still have a decent buffer against failing your 1+ armour save.
Yeah I can't wait to try out the list, I do love support units. Will be a long time though. I actually had the talisman on the Oldblood pretty much right up until I posted the list, but you make a good point about magic. My regular opponent plays WoC and they can get some nasty high strength spells, so maybe the ward save is a better idea.
