Hello and thank you for clicking and reading. I am new to age of sigmar. Been collecting since June and playing once a week with a friend. He plays ogors with the beastclaw raiders thundertusk things. No matter what I do I just can’t seem to pin him down. Playing around the 1500 mark Any advice on what to add would be a massive help was thinks of getting a squad of razordons or salamanders not sure though. This is what what I have. Heroes Scar veteran on carnosaur Sunblood Skink starpriest Skink priest Slann Starmaster Battleline 40 x Saurus warriors spears 10 x Saurus warriors clubs 10 x Saurus warriors clubs 10 x Saurus knights lance Behemoths Basildon solar Trogladon Other units 3 x ripperdactyls He tends to field: Tyrant butcher Huskard on thundertusk Leadbelchers Ogors Grots Thanks again. If Saurus was a bad move, I don’t mind getting a load of skinks. If this is the wrong place to put this I apologise. Kind regards Dire Distortion
Welcome! I am not very familiar with Ogors, but if I recall their abilities correctly I think Saurus are a bit slow to fight them. Skinks will have it much easier. Anything that can shoot well, move well, and has a lot of wounds will probably a good choice. Teleporting around might also help in that case. Perhaps a Shadowstrike fits into a 1.5k list...
Example list that could work. Probably not the best one though. Allegiance: Seraphon Leaders Skink Starpriest (80) - Artefact: Prism of Amyntok Slann Starmaster (260) - General - Trait: Great Rememberer - Artefact: Incandescent Rectrices Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160) Skink Priest (80) - Priestly Trappings Battleline 40 x Skinks (200) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers Units 3 x Ripperdactyl Riders (140) Behemoths Bastiladon (280) Battalions Shadowstrike Starhost (170) Reinforcement Points (0) Total: 1490 / 1500 Allies: 0 / 400
Your main problem there is the Huskard on thundertusk and those ranged mortal wounds. Deal with it asap, with teleport or shadowstrike, once it's down you can buff your bastiladon and send it in melee with the brutes.
Each time I won Vs Ogors, was by keeping them busy with bastiladon and Skinks (Wary fighters is awesome for that) and scoring more objective points. It's a bit easier now with our teleport skills. A few Razordon might be cool as well
Thanks so much for the replies and feedback. Really been a massive help. Much appreciated Great community here. Kind regards Dire Distortion
