AoS New Player to Warhammer!

Good Morning/Evening wherever you live :)

I am an art teacher who has never played Warhammer before and have always been interested.

I bought the SC Seraphon Kit and I followed that awesome guide to get more out of my units!

So I have;
10 Warriors
5 Knights
1 Carnosaur with Scarvet rider
1 Astrolith Bearer
1 Oldblood on foot
1 Sunblood on foot
1 Scarvet on Coldone
1 Skink Priest


My friends and I just got into the game and are building stuff and going to local game shops once they open.
I'm wondering what should I buy and expand with next to make a nice competitive army? I'm not going super serious but it's fun to beat your friends ;)

So how can I make a nice 1000 point army with what I have and what can I buy next to make it better and start moving towards 2000?

that depends on what you really love about seraphon there are 3 main paths you can go with seraphon.
you can go skinks in which case the buying list is
a couple star priests
another normal priest
a slann or kroak
maligned portents box
40 80 or 120 skinks
what ever you think is cool to fill the remaining points

you can go saurus in which case the buying list is
a slann or kroak
maligned portents box
a couple star priests
and either 30 50 or 80 saurus warriors
or 10 20 or 35 saurus knights
what ever you think is cool to fill the remaining points

last you can go specialist where you take one of our auxiliary units (teradons, salamanders. kroxagor, stegadons, carnasuars) and go full ham. the buy list is
a bunch of the unit of your choice
min battle line
a slann or kroak
maligned portents box
another normal skink priest

I am not a smart man.. and was embarrassed I couldn't delete it myself. I don't even know how I made that mistake because I have no idea what Kings of War is LOL.

Where can I read/learn about the different play styles? I played my first game ever yesterday and I was really enjoying the knights with lances and how they benefited from charging which I thought was cool.

don't bash yourself. It takes some time to learn how move through a forum so rich of stuff as Lustria.
