I have to say I am somewhat surprised to see 20 man (rat?) boxes, as a VC player it makes me somewhat sad. :p

They are pretty monopose with even the head and the left arm molded onto the body, which is disappointed and a sad step away from the very multi-pose plastics of yesteryear. But they look pretty good, and I guess in exchange for the posability they can cram 20 onto basically 1 sprue. Really it should make them even cheaper but like thats going to happen.

I'll have to look at the doomwheel more closely, I think at this stage I somewhat preferred the old one. Keen to see the Screaming Bell which is rumoured to be 'rang' by two ogre rats. Anyway, I'm certainly not tempted to start an army, but my friend is rat crazy so I guess I better be prepared to beat them. :)

Somewhat scared of the 25+ to cast spell... Apparently it deals 4d6 wounds and if it wipes out the target, it turns them all into clanrats. With the amount of dice it will miscast a lot, so I am sure GW have some rule against miscasts, the only realistic way to stop it will be a scroll.

WOW NICE FIND!! those new characters are unreal, especially the headtaker model. I love the doom wheel also. Well my fears are over...20 rats per box and not 10. I always hated the way skaven looked in the past but by the looks of the new stuff it all looks amazing. I bet salamanders will really be flying off the shelves now after all these new skaven players show up to tournaments. Im thinkin I might be one of them....

I really like the new armor on those models, it is very cool especially the helmets...

I think the new doomwheel is nice, although I completely forget what the old one looked like...

The new 20-man box is a very good sign, I hope TK get a 20 skeleton box (though I'm still afraid cuz VC got a 10 skeleton box). Also a good sign is the plastic stormvermin, maybe I will get plastic Tomb Guard... :bored:
    But enough TK ranting... :meh:

Crazy pricing on those Storm Vermin... $83, when the Clan rats are only $55??? Sure they may have a little more plastic, but both are still essentially 20 models, the idea of giving units a price based on their relative game effectiveness is stupid, if it were the case then all the foot special characters should be more like 60-100 bucks instead of 20-30. I hope the Storm Vermin cook and clean for that markup....

Yep the Aus dollar is weaker than the USD and GBP, plus for some reason Australia is about the most expensive place to buy warhammer even factoring in currency conversion, aside from New Zealand and I believe Canada is pretty expensive too. But that wasn't my point at all, you still have a massive 66% markup from the clanrats to the stormvermin, this is a significant difference when we are talking about the same amount of models. But then again, 10 goldswords are in the range of the storm vermin price and have half the number of models.

It used to be fun watching red shirts try to justify the high prices before when they kinda made sense, how in the hell can anyone justify 66% difference between two boxes of very similar models with the same number, or 10 very similar sized plastics being just under the price of the more expensive 20 box and still well above the cheaper 20 rat box? What I'm saying is not only are GW prices high now, they also do not even make the slightest bit of sense which is even more annoying.

It so does not! Do you know how hard it is to paint warhammer when there is a SHB standing right next to you? They totally destroy the hobby! :p

As an aside, a particular someone who may or may not be me has had decent success telling girls that since he's a modelling and miniature painter, it means he is rather good with his hands *wink wink*. Sure its no plastic surgeon, but its right up there! :p
