    Hey, everyone.

I'm brand new to Lizardmen, Warhammer, and wargaming in general. I recently got introduced to WHF by a friend, and now I’m hooked. After some practice battles using borrowed armies, I’ve decided on Lizardmen. Having now purchased the Warhammer rulebook and Lizardmen Army book, I’m pretty satisfied with my decision. Lizardmen offer a wide variety of troops and strategies, not to mention awesome models and fluff! :D I’ve started constructing my first army, so if you have time, any advice on my list would be welcome.

(I thought I already posted this, but it doesn’t show up anywhere on my page or in the Introductions forum. If I accidentally posted this twice, I apologize.)

    Thanks,

    -Lindel

Welcome to L-O! Looks like you're past the post requirements now, so that shouldn't be a problem for you anymore.

Lizards are a great army. I've ventured off here and there to other armies or wargaming systems for short periods, but I always find my way back to Lizardmen. Plus our online community rocks some socks. Hope you enjoy your stay!

Welcome, I recommend buying the battallion boxes you get a lot more for your money than buying units individually. The only thing I don't run often is cold ones and I probably wouldn't run 8 anyway; I run 5 and leaves 3 models for conversions for heros or lords. With two boxes you'll probably have most of the core you'll ever need.

Thanks, Teufelhund. I'm gonna start with one battalion, converting a Skink into a Priest and a Cold One Rider into a Oldblood, plus a couple additional monsters, for a small, 1000 point list like I'm working on right now. Eventually I might add another battalion, but it could be a while.
