I just started playing fantasy after years of playing 40k. In my area we play mostly 2500 points. I am trying to build a decent take all comers list. This is what I have so far. Please let me know what you think. Slann - BSB, Focused Rumination, Focus Mastery, Cupped Hands, Standard of Discipline, Ironcurse Icon Skink Priest - Cube of Darkness, Engine of the Gods Scar Vet - Light Armour, Dawnstone, Charmed Shield, Buring Blade Saurus x29 - Full command, Scar Vet goes here Skink Chort x20 - Musician, Kroxigor x3 Skink Skirmishers x10 Skink Skirmishers x10 Temple Guard x26 - Full Command, War Banner Cameleon Skinks x6 Cameleon Skinks x6 Salamander - Extra Handler Salamander - Extra Handler
Welcome to LO! The only thing I see that is an issue is your Skrox unit. You have to have at least 8 Skinks per Kroxigor. That means you need that unit to be 24 Skinks strong at a minimum, or you have to drop a Krox. I'd recommend dropping a Krox and giving that unit a Standard Bearer (or full command). That way you can use them as flankers and still get an instant +1 to Combat Resolution. With the extra points you can put a magic weapon on your TG Champion and add a few troops here and there. What lore do you have in mind for your Slann?
Hi there, As far as your Slann goes, I'd drop the ironcurse icon and give it to the command group of the TG. I also beef him up a bit more - it may just be me, but the Slann seems to get the attention of all the enemy's war machines, so I give him Higher State. You get 625 points in a 2500er to spend on lords, so I can afford to go crazy with making him awesome. If you don't want to make him beefy then there may be enough points left over for an oldblood.... Maybe...
I love it when my Slann gets the attention of enemy warmachines, he gets a 2+ Lookout roll, and then there's his personal ward save if you roll a 1 on the LOS, unless you have horrible luck on your rolls, it's pretty much a waste of a shot.
