    Hi everyone,

So I am new to the whole warhammer scene and am looking to complete my first starter lizardmen army. Basically I have a handful of units and need help figuring out what parts and figures I need to get so I can put a basic 1200-1500 pt army on the table.

    here is what I have

64 saurus with hand weapon and shield
another 50 or so saurus not assembled yet
    8 saurus on cold ones
    32 skinks with bows

    any advice would be awesome.

    Thanx.

You'll have to use Stand-ins if that is allowed in your gaming group. For instance you have a total amount of saurus to have both 30 regular saurus warriors and 30 templeguards. You can also use some of the skinks as cameleon skinks. Again, obly if your gaming group is okay with that. Otherwise you're fairly limited to mostly core units in which case I'd just play at the 1200pts mark.

You'll need a skink priest thoigh since you have no magic.

    I'd say:

An oldblood on cold one with armour of destiny, dawnstone and great weapon. Put him the COR unit.
2 lvl2 priests. One with cube of darkness and one with dispel scroll.

    30 saurus with full command.
    2 x 10 skink skirmisher with javelin.

30 templeguards with full command and razorbanner.
7 COR with full command and spears.
    2 x 5 cameleon skinks.

This could push you in the 1900pts area if my math isn't wrong.

I wouldn't say that would be a bad list, but you do lack the slann as your lvl 4 mage and you have no salamanders. Your regular saurus will, however eat most core, templeguards will eat most knights and your oldblood will be near invincible.

So you'll have to assemble the rest if the saurus and buy a few skink priests. Or just get a slann, ditch 1-2 priests and make the OB to a scar vet ^^

If you take the exact list as I suggsted and put spears on your COR it should be 1899pts.

Hey thanx for the reply you have given me some things to consider. As for my gaming group they are really laid back and do not mind stand ins as long as you do not abuse it.

I was thinking about setting up a set of 30 temple guards seeing as I have the command set lol. As for the skunk priests and slann I am currently working to obtain on of each.

I will report more later but got to go atm thanx again
