Re: New to WHFB, Picked up Lizardmen, need help with 8th lis

Hi there! Been a 40k/WFB for many a moon and you have a very flexible army it seems.

Looks like your ready to slap that army down and GO! Here is a basic layout to try and as you get more familiar with WFB you can go ahead and experiment with varied layouts after. Heres the basic jist of it all...

Hold the center with your saurus units and temple guard, skink skirmishers for flanks or to draw out your enemies game plan as he sets up. Camo to help in that regard or placed close to something that really needs to start taking wounds ASAP.

Those Salamanders grouped on either flank to wittle down incoming units or blast the chaff while your Cold One Cav shoots up another flank to start making its way to the center to support your main units.

Slaan ( goes in with your temple guard) with your high magic to support your troops
while your skink priests ( stick in a cohort for protection) cast Wyssar's Wildform on your units as a buff or blast away with some heavens magic

Ancient Stegadon to support and bring da pain when needed.

Try that basic set up for a few games and tweak it as you go along the road to glory and carnage.

That 7th list will be a good trainer if it is still legal, just the slann needs new kit since all of his 7th toys disappeared.

As a newb, take high magic and learn to palm spells for what you need. Then do the basic harmonic convergence / channel staff and becalming.

Should be a balanced (but slow) list to learn the game with.
