    Hey all!
Seems like a great forum for all Lizardmen players. Well first off, Im new to this forum so I dont know if I posted it correctly in the right thread.
Iam also new to the team of Lizardmen and was wondering about a couple of things:
What should I buy to creat my army? I mean, what would almost every army include?
    I have ordered this:
    Two battalion boxes
    1 skink shaman
    1 saurus lord on foot
    1 Scar veteran with BSB
    1 Stegadon.

Is there anything else that I can buy to set off the army? Im gonna buy a slann and another segadon later on. apart from that? Thaughts? any obvious units to buy? pros and cons?

And one other thing Ive just seen, in the codex for lizardmen, there is nothing about any BSB? if you look at the extra equipment for Scar veterans i cant purchase a BSB...why!?

Thanks on forehand for all awnser.

The bottom of page 93 covers who can be the battle standard bearer: the slann, saurus scar veteran and skink chiefs. You'll probably want to pick up a slann in the future for larger battles, and most people will say the cold one cavalry that come in the battalion sets are weak or useless in this edition. Personally, I don't play for just finding the most powerful list I can, so I'd still use them and see how well they do for you. Salamanders are praised as one of the 'must haves' for a lizardmen army, mine have done okay, but the fear they instill in my opponents makes them early targets. Chameleon skinks are also strongly recommended if you're facing opponents with war machines, but you can probably get away with proxying regular skinks with blowguns for them until you're ready to pick up more models.

What you have ordered is a great start. yes CoC are currently weaker, yet not useless. Just know their role (read tactics, ask us, play games, and you will figure it out :) ).

When playing above 2000 I always bring a Slann and salamanders. I also bring chameleons. I would def. recommend a Slann and a salamander (make that two) because of it. Make 12 of your skinks blowgun and you will have enough IMO. With 12 you can field one skirmish unit, or two chameleon units via proxy.

The rest of your skinks make javs. in units of 10 they are cheap redirectors. In units of 22 with two Kroxigors they make excellent anvils. With that note, I would recommend getting some Kroxigors. They are expensive and hard to proxy; so sorry we all gotta pay for em :(

MOST IMPORTANT!! These are my ideas and strategies. Not yours. So don't attach the arms until your ready. Play around with different lists until you find one that's your play style. Once you find how you want your army to work, finish the models and you will have no regrets (unlike me, needing to go back and switch all my blowgun skinks to jav skinks).

You are well on your way though. Good luck and always post your list!

I'm still not convinced that units of 10 skinks are worth it for cheap directors... I mean 50 points is almost another salamander... almost another rank of saurus. I dunno.

Yeah CoC are pretty weak now I pretty much just made a CoC a scar vet on cold one with bane head because thats still a savage and cheap character hunter.

You should probably considder picking up some more saurus in the future. For small fights the 2 batalions are enough but when you go upp in points you will allways want to have as many saurus as possible. They fight well they can take a punch and they never run. They are without a doubt the backbone of close to every LM army.

Other than that I would suggest salamanders and chameleons (just use skinks till you feel like buying more models).

The slann is also a good idea since it is the obvious general of LM armies and because the TG are overpriced without him.

You may want another box or two of Skinks to use as skirmishers in units of 10.
Slann is pretty much mandatory in larger games because of how powerfull magic can be now.
Might want a bunch of chameleon skinks to hunt war machines simply bcause they will hurt your steggies.
