    So I actually read the codex instead of catching stuff on army builder and noticed that the Carnasuar is no longer a large target. does this mean I can screen him with a non-skirm unit?

    Next question and Im sure its a matter of opinion, but I was wondering about Temple Guard with a Slann, 6 wide or 5?

    You can screen him with any model in the army pretty much not just non skirmishers!

    As for the Temple Guard. i don't run them as i like a solo Slann to keep your witts about you. However if i was taking them 6 wide against armies which can't do much damage to them in combat and 5 wide against the rest.

    Plus 5 wide is easier to manoeuver :smug:

    Yes you are right, I was told by a player that they do not, and took some shot I shouldnt have because of it.

    what does RAW mean?

    RAW = Rules As Written

    It's playing the game by the rules to the letter. The very way a rule is stated can infact change its meaning, a single word can have big effect on how good an item is. Usually this is exploited to make something more powerful then it is meant to be, or is used to settle disputes on a "What happens if..." situation.

    A recent example I happen to be thinking of;

    Stormbanner in new skaven book. In the previous edition it was "One Use Only" and in 7th edition the english copy fails to state that fact, but foreign copies of the same book have it, and GW has admitted it to be a typo. But some RAW players would say until they make an updated FAQ or Errata and correct the book, the banner isn't "One Use Only". This is an example of someone exploiting the exact wording to benefit from it more.

    ;)
