Hey all, Okay, I'm hoping to attend a few tourneys in the local area and they're judged by the usual Australian panel, so I've got to watch my balance, I think I've got the list about where I need it but I'd really appreciate some feedback from those of you with a bit more experiene with the scaly soldiers of Lustria than me. CHARACTERS - Slann Focus of Mystery, Focused Rumination BSB w/ Warbanner Cupped hands, 2 x Power stones - Skink Priest (lvl. 2) Cloak of Feathers, Diadem of Power CORE - 18 x Saurus w/ standard, musician - 18 x Saurus w/ standard, musician - 10 x Skink cohort - 10 x Skink Cohort - 10 x Skink Skirmishers - 10 x Skink Skirmishers - 10 x Skink Skirmishers SPECIAL - Stegadon - Stegadon - 5 x Terradons - 16 x Temple Guard w/ standard Totem of Prophecy RARE - Salamander w/ extra handler - Salamander w/ extra handler points: 2500 (exact!) PD: 8 (without losing any for Diadem) DD: 5 (without adding any for diadem) So, the plan is (fairly obviously) for the Saurus and temple guard to anchor, the stegs to hammer, the cohorts to redirect, the skirmishers/ Sallies/ skink Priest/ Terradons to harrass. My slann generally runs death for the 2 x magic missiles, Drain life, and the ability to make the TG cause Terror!
Hi again folks, Am thinking of dropping the Stegs in favour of 2 x 5 lizard Cold one Knight units (with nothing) this would also free up 120 points for other uses, what do people think of the change and what should I get with the extra points? Also, for the purposes of this list, what would people suggest I take, the diadem a D. Scroll on the Skink support? Any other comments and criticisms would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
i would keep the 2 steggs i think they will work better then the COR because they can shoot also and have a nice impact
well i don't know a whole lot about comp. scores but from what i have heard i would guess that you will get slammed for the 2 stegs i would either take a chief on a steg and leave it at that or take a JsoD since with a slann and a priest you are not overly magic heavy for those lists you could take both for the price of 2 stegs and get more of a result and still stay in comp as far as i know i would drop a unit of skirmishers and make your terradons into 2 units or a unit of terradons and a unit of chameleons depending on how comp. scores go mabye an extra salamanderon one of those units
yea sure you'll get slapped but what do you also c in tournaments 2 hydra + drag list 2 stanks + altar list ..... seriously from the moment you go hard you get slapped and said that your cheesy well so be it, these lists win tournaments and they are fun to play with
agreed but reality rarely allows for personel preferance if you want to "compete" in a comp enviroment you need to do certain things would apreciate someone with more exp. in this field as i said before my knowledge on comp. is what i have read so i am not a lot of help (and kinda biast against, i must admit)
