Hi all, old school Lizardmen player, back when they were in the starter box. I'm looking to get started again and really like the Firelance Starhost. Any suggestions for how to field one at 2k? Thanks in advance
Welcome aboard! For a firelance I might go: List Summary Leaders Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur (260) Skink Starpriest (100) Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (320) Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One (100) Units Saurus Knights x 5 (120) - Lance Saurus Knights x 5 (120) - Lance Saurus Knights x 5 (120) - Lance Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120) Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120) Ripperdactyl Riders x 3 (140) Behemoths Bastiladon (300) War Machines Battalions Firelance Starhost (60) Shadowstrike Starhost (120) Scenery Total: 2000/2000 Simple enough, gives you your aggressive knights running in and destroying things with the charge, while the Shadowstrike comes in from behind to give you some deep striking. Or I might go Bloodclaw + Firelance + Bastiladon For a great Saurus pile up. What models do you have available?
Good call, make one knight into a scar-vet on cold one and make the Oracle from the trog into a starpriest. if you want to do a bit of Kitbash you can make an oldblood on foot as well as the oldblood or scar-vet on carno.
What about something like this? +++ Seraphon (Age of Sigmar v8) (2000pts) +++ ++ Pitched Battle (2,000) (Grand Alliance: Order v25) ++ + Uncategorised + Allegiance [Seraphon] + Leader + Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One Skink Starpriest + Leader/Behemoth + Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur + Behemoth + Bastiladon x2 + Battleline + Saurus Knights [5 Saurus Knights] Saurus Knights [5 Saurus Knights] Saurus Knights [5 Saurus Knights] Saurus Warriors [2x 10 Saurus Warriors] + Battalion + Battalion: Firelance Starhost Created with BattleScribe (http://www.battlescribe.net) Basically the 2 carnasaurs and cav are the first wave, saurus' flanked by Bastilodons are the second
That's a fantastic set up. Your bastiladons and Oldblod shoot, your starpriest Buffs, then your bastiladons anvil while the knights and the scar-vet Hammer. With th scar-vet on cold one as your general it is a pretty killy list.
This looks a great list! I always think the best lists are those that tackle multiple core concepts, and you have a great mix of speed, aggression and support. look forward to hearing about how this performs in the field!
I love that build Kroakson I would put the 3 units of 5 knights together into one big unit though, as you can then buff all 15 with your Skink Starpriest and Scar Veteran on Carnosaur (make him the general to get those sweet extra attacks!)
