So i know you can buy the Model for the carnosaur but there is no Rider so i am just thinking put a oldblood that supposed to go on a coldone on to the Carnosaur. But before i go and spend my money, do they even fit? Cause i dont wanna buy both the things and realize i messed up and wasted money. I am already guessing i might have to do a bit of converstion tho. But before i go and do anything i was just wondering how you guys did yours?

Do they even sell those Carnosaurs without a rider?

BTW The Kroq-Gar model is Super!

Yeah they do, it's off in a seperate section (Warhammer Bitz: Mounts) along with pegasi, boars, horses etc... It comes in at the price of $30 in the US store, so with that and an Old Blood on Cold One, you're spending two more bucks than the Kroq-Gar model. I'd say it'd be easier to get Kroq-Gar and just convert what you don't want on him from whatever you've got left over from the rest of your guys. (after all, Bitz are Bitz.)

ive wanted to do that for some time now because i dont like the model sitting on top of the carnosaur for some reason and ive been held back by the same reason as you.
but i dont think the sadle would fit the carnosaur :depressed:
you could go crazy with green stuff :smug:
i want to convert a dragon out of a carnosaur aswell

Yeah i got a extra oldblood shield since my dog decided to eat the rest of him, dunno why she left the shield i guess shields dont suit her taste(Also btw i dont keep my models on the floor it was up on my desk dog decided to get up and grab it just letting you know so you dont think im more of a idiot than i am). So i can add that and just keep the spear on him, since its not like the spear is a horrible weapon or costs much. Damn tho i might have to get a few of them cause i love how the model looks reg with claw weapon and the spear.

Yeah some models i dont like in the game at all too But i actually like every single model the lizardmen have. Its why i chose them, I love the carnosuar model and i wanna use one in a game soon.

I bought a Carnosaur a while back (Kroq-gar model) and it's fun to field, though my HE opponents Star Dragon is much more frightening in my opinion. I'm curious as to what anyone here thinks of the Carnosaur itself, though. (As in how it plays)

You don't have to go too nuts with the green stuff. I just put a layer of it underneat the rider's saddle, molding it to fit over the carnosaur's back spikes (like fingers in a glove). Not 100% necessary, but he doesn't fall off now. :) And none of the green stuff is visible.

I bought the models for the same reason you did - so I have the separate carnosaur and the oldblood on cold one model. I found that they don't fit particularly well. I think one would have to remove some spikes on the back and also remodel the saddle a fair bit. In the end, after fiddling about for ages, I changed my mind completely and have now mounted the carnosaur on a base which has space for a walking oldblood. I will post pics as soon as it's finished. I've magnetised the bases so I can easily separate the two, so I have a sole oldbood if I want it and a carnosaur in case the rider ever dies in battle...
