So, I've been running an Oldblood on a carnosaur w/heroslayer, the armor of destiny, a shield and a bane head. Just in friendly matches, btw. And he has been really kicking ass--tearing through normal units given the bonuses he gets for being in B2B contact, and a lovely challenger to the other army's general as well. even if they square off one on one, that's still six S6 attacks. Here's my question: am I screwing up a rule here? Does he not get the benefits from heroslayer because he's mounted? Also, any oldblood builds you guys want to share?
Don't see why you wouldn't.... (have to cheek rules) I did make one build where I maximized the number of rolls my oponent would have to make. (fear test, LD test, reroll sucessful wounds, ect...) Haven't tried it out yet tho.
You should work in the other trickster's shard, to make those heroes reroll successful ward saves too. I think this would also work against regen, since that is considered a ward save now.
This looks like an interesting and very durable combat build. Saurus Oldblood (291 pts) ....... (Hand Weapon; Light Armour; Shield; Scaly Skin) ....... Cold One (Causes Fear; Immune to Psychology; Stupid) . . . . Sword of Striking . . . . Helm of Discord . . . . Aura of Quetzl . . . . The Other Trickster's Shard so he's +1 to hit -1 to be hit enemies have to re-roll sucessfull ward saves causes fear And he has to pass another LD test to hit me and is hit automatically if he fails 1+ armor save ______________________________________________________________________________ Her's a similar variation..... Saurus Oldblood (291 pts) ....... (Hand Weapon; Light Armour; Shield; Scaly Skin) . . . . Cold One (Causes Fear; Immune to Psychology; Stupid) . . . . Fencer's Blades . . . . Trickster's Helm . . . . The Other Trickster's Shard WS 10 +1 attack enemies have to re-roll sucessfull ward saves causes fear Opponent re-rolls successful wounds 1+ armor save
