I saw a post somewhere about a website that let you play WHF online. I'm going to deploy soon and some friends and I were looking for something like that to play while I'm gone. Anyone have a url?
If you are looking for WAR - Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, then you may find it here: http://warhammeronline.com/. Also, Mythic has created a scenario-only fast paced (think team deathmatch) stand-alone game based in the Warhammer Online's universe. Alternatively, you may download and create accounts for both games here: http://www.warhammeronline.com/trial/. Hope this helps. - Lord Cedric
Ah, I see. While I have not ever played it, this is about the only thing I've heard: http://asrai.org/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=12201&sid=4396736666416b11b8393b8138813246 but it seems to take a bit to set up. If you hear of this site, please post it here so others interested, like us, can too check it out. Thank you. - Lord Cedric
This is what you are looking for: http://www.universalbattle.com/ I have a year long account. Cost 11 or 12 bucks. Well worth it. Games take longer, but it is still fun. Just the terrain generation is worth it to me.
Thanks Arli! Would you be willing to give a more in-depth review of this? Also, how close it is compared to table-top playing? - Lord Cedric
I can. I will start a thread tomorrow with some screen shots on how it works. It is pretty easy. You can also do 40k with it.
The easy way is to go to the Armies tab and copy someone elses army. There is a code under the army (this may be something that you have to have a paid account for). You copy that code and import it into your account and you can save it that way. You can also creeate your own under the army editing option.
I've played a lot on there in the past, haven't really had the time now. I use the site the Arli posted, super useful and much better than the old site we had.
