recently i looked the jungle swarm and i found them intresting i want to try 2 units of 5 swarms and do you think?
oh it's a spell that lets you use the leadership stat as strenght, in this case swarms go from strenght 2 to strenght 10.
okeyyyyyy..... it bug's kill machines with 5 attacks nice and you use them in flank? or in front of the enemy unit?
Run a life slann and a shadow slann. Then buff them to T6 (flesh to stone) and Mindrazor. Chances are, you will not get those both off, but it would be cool.
Every time someone post a question about Swarms I say the same thing. They are great vs. Orc and Goblins set them up right on the deployment line, and march them straight at any goblin unit to pull out fanatics. Once Fanatics are out you can either shoot them or ignore them and wait for theinevitably bounce back in to the O&G units. After thought - 2 units of 5 might be a little pricey, depending on size of game. New rules for Swarm makes them unstable.
Yeah overall swarms are about the worst choice in our army. They are really no good at all. Sure they can be made effective with spell combos, but wouldn't you rather buff the strength and toughness of your other units? LM are strong enough that they can afford to carry the unit in most games and still be competitive so if you do like them for whatever reason, go for it. Just don't expect a lot. They can hold up or redirect a unit for a while, they can also work on flanks against skirmishers or fast cavalry. They could potentially be mage hunters (can't be challenged, get 2 in contact and you can drop 10 poison attacks on a mage in a unit!) but don't really expect a lot from them.
