Here's the first 2 units of my up and coming Lizardmen. Some Skinks and Saurus. Unfortunately I'm being told my images may only be up to 1 pixel wide, so here are the links:

Instead of using use "pic" I had the same problem, but the Photo FAQ that is stickied at the top of this thread helps :)

The lizzies look great! I like the clean painting and good highlights. I personally think that the upper scales and the underbelly should be either different colors or at least different shades, but that is my only dislike.

Post more pics of the skinks ;) , they look awesome, but I can't see them too well.

Oh, and nice bases too :)

Done and done. Cheers for that.

In regards to the scales and belly, I'm leaving them as they are for the meanwhile. In future I may well go back and change the colour, but at the moment I don't have any ideas that really stand out except making the bellies lighter, and that can wait until I've finished other things. I've taken it on board though.

    Much better :)

Have you considered a white flesh tone? Maybe Bleached Bone or some form of brown? I am not sure what the name of the color, but looking at the Carnosaur scheme I think that underbelly color would look really nice. That is just my 2 cents though

Seconded. They look good, but would give better definition IMO with an extra colour or shade. In this case since the orange looks great and they already have a radically different colour on the shields, I would just darken/lighten the areas. But as you say, that can be done anytime.

    Skinks look very cool.

I agree with this. When I do get around to it, I'll simply add white or bone to the base colour and go that way. It'll just make everything easier on the eye.

I used some sand that's made for Bansai trees, painted it black, drybrushed Adeptus Battlegrey, Codex Grey and Skull White, then glue some static grass on. The edges are Khemri Brown.
