I had this game at a workshop which we just started because we had nothing to do. It was 2 on 2, with warriors of chaos and lizards(me) on one side, and 2 high elf guys on the other.
    We had:
    16 Saurus
    5 Cold One Calvary
    2 Scar-Vets
    5 Chaos knights
    Chaos sorceror
    20 khorne chaos warriors

    They had:
    30 Spearmen
    20 Archers
    3 Bolt Throwers
20 Phoenix guard with the special character
    20 Swordsman of hoeth
20 White Lions with the special character
    8 silver helms
    6 Dragon knights
High elf lord with horsey and lance
A hero or lord with a special bow

It started off with them killing 2 chaos warriors and a knight and the whole lot moving forwards. Our calvary charged, with cold ones hitting dragon kights and chaos knights hitting white lions. Saurus camped behind a barricade, while chaos warriors with sorcerer camped to cast spells. Infernal Gateway kills some white lions, and then the ususal happened in combat, with us losing a couple of knights while they lost 4 knights and 6 white lions.

The next turn was when we got stuffed. Flank charge by phoienix guard into chaos knights and 20 swordsmen of hoeth hitting my cavalry. That was nasty. Only a scar-vet left with one wound and chaos knights get wiped. Meanwhile Saurus lose combat to silver helms but stay. Our turn was retribution. Infernal gateway=14 dead swordsmen of hoeth. Silver Hlems get beaten up by saurus and run. Saurus catch and run into 30 spearmen. In the combat phase, a challenge saves the scar-vets life and he gets to beat 2 wounds out of the lord, whiel he does nothing. Saurus and spearmen draw combat.

Next turn, more saurus die but they don't run, Scar-vet fails to do anything and shaos warriors charge into swordsmen. After that, 2 chaos warriors die for 3 swordmen of hoeth.

Next turn, saurus warriors get wiped whilenothing happens in the challenge. By then, we had no more time but overall, the survivors for us were 5 chaos warriors and a scar-vet whlle they only lost 19 swordsmen of hoeth , 11 spearmen and the silver helms. I then went home and found out that what was meant to be 750 points a player turned out to be 3000 points total for them. Overpointed, i think.

Jajajaja well, you should have realized something was up when they put that many pieces on the board ;) Elves are WAAAAAAAAAAY expensive! I think that their basic Spear-elves cost as much as our Saurus Warriors.. And then a block of Phoenix guard and White Lions? yeah... Three repeater bolt throwers?? When you were listing everything I was like... -.- .... jajaja you and the Chaos Warriors would have been close in points to ONE of the HE players but not both..

Good try though for what its worth :) You could have pulled out a little better loss using both of your Knights on the same unit though.. I don't know how the table was set up though so I can't judge :) Better luck next time!

Spearmen cost 9 points and archers cost 11. Also, I think you were thinking dragon knights were chaos, which is wrong as they were theirs. My cavalry got owned by 20 swordsmen of hoeth and the dragon knights while his got owned by white lions and phoeniox guard.

Even then, 9 points for a spearmen and 11 for an archer.. And High Elf archery isn't too great. (well, it might be.. I used to play Wood Elves though so it doesn't seem all that great to me :p )

And I was refering to the 5 chaos knights that your ally had. You had 5 Cold One Knights and he had 5 Chaos Knights so I was referring to using those two units to work together

I'm guessing it's the first time you've faced High Elves, because their core, cavalry + rare alone should have been easily a match for the entire Chaos army, leaving 16 (!!!) saurus warriors - middling infantry at best - and 5 (!!!) saurus cavalry (a very weak unit) to face off against 3 blocks of the deadliest specialist close-combat units in the game??! Surely it was obvious from the first turn that they were roughly twice as powerful as your combines forces!
Anyway, that was pretty harsh of the elves to play like that - it's hard to imagine a scenario in which they could have lost. If you see them again you should definitely rip them new ones.
