Im curious about which one of the different armies you think is the easiest to beat. And why? Myself, I don't have a lot of experience and have only met DE and OnG. I haven't lost any of the games Ive played so far (maybe the reason is that I am spending a lot of time here learning from you guys, and my friends don't). We are all beginners. So with my limited experience I must say OnG, they are unreliable and our saurus stand up good against them. I know tho that I haven't yet met a competitive build. So with growing experience my answer might be different in the future. You? /Crillaz
Eh.. well, dunno I haven't actually played DE, but AFAIK you can make some pretty mean lists with O&G. For instance a horde of savage orc boys and a horde of Blacks Orcs, or a list with a troll horde. The thing about O&G is the same with DoC, you have to live with the randomness and sometimes it'll screw you over. In all honesty though I think O&G and Lizardmen should be rather equal if played by to equally skilled players and too equally good lists.
Pinktaco, What I meant was, which one of all 15 warhammer armies do you think is the easiest to beat. Sorry for not being clear in my writing. /Crillaz
Its a very wide question, as each army has different builds and each build has different advantages and disadvantages to other builds. to the question: "what is easiest to beat?" I answer "with what?" a Saurus list? a skink cloud? a flyers list? a monster mash? you cant answer the question without oversimplifying so much that it dosnt make sens to answer in the first place I would argue that Tomb Kings has the most weaknesses in general, but then to counterargue myself I have seen battlereports where players that really knows how to get the most out of them completly obliterate even Top Tier armies. Its really about the General and how he deploys and uses his troops. You dont beat the sword, you beat the guy who carries it.
Wood Elves, because Lizardmen have all the tools that they need to beat them (fast chaff, access to flaming death zaps, lots of multiple wound/high strength characters).
Freaking tomb kings man... Jeez how do you even lose versus that.. 5+ armour save on 200+ point monsters? Are you kidding me?
Only the unit with the special character in it gets the bonus, and it's hit on a 4+ with normal poison. Yeah, 365 point character gives 1 unit of skeletons the same shooting power as a skink with a javelin. If you are playing special characters, then Tetto Eko ends that match up. Just vanguard 2-3 Saurus characters point blank and Khalida's unit and drop comets from out of range. 2 scarvets or oldbloods won't lose combat and will stop all the scary shooting. Then it's M6 poison shots from lizards vs an army that can't march. Tomb Kings can work, but lizards do very well at taking them down. I'd say it's a toss up between empire, tomb kings and dwarfs for me; which just tells me I win more when I'm faster. -Matt
Our area is quite competitive and a friend of mine's TK army ended 5th out of 24 in the latest regionals. Like it is said before, depends greatly on the person you are playing against. I'm new but have had really good results so far and I haven't beat OnG yet (played twice against different opponents). Easiest... that's a difficult one as I haven't played all the armies yet but if I had to say then Empire.
