8th Ed. Please help! Skinks...

    Ok so my question is what is the best way to equip my skinks I will be building off 2x battalions should i give them blow pipes javalins and shields or hand weapons and shields?

    Well hand weapon and shield is not really an option,
    So make 1/2 with blowpipes and 1/2 with javelins.

    They always get hand weps. Thats basic, but you get blowpipes OR javelins. If you want them as skirmishers, which I advise, I would take blowpipes hands down, Multiple shots and march and shoot is really good.

    If you're running them as cohorts, take the shield / jav. The 6 up armor and 6 up parry can really give them some sticking power. Best to have a few kroxigor stuck in with them ;P

    I used to swear by my skink skrimishers, but since 8th edition I mostly just swear at them... Now I go for large blocks of skinks with javelins and kroxigors. Parry save vs no save ever isn't too hard of a choice. I think playing style and opponent army makes a difference in that choice too.

    Thanks I will Prolly go for 1/2 blow pipes and 1/2 javelins although i think the javelins might make a great screen for the saurus blocks
