8th Ed. Poison Attacks

Hey, I'm kinda new to warhammer and i dont understand how poison attacks work.

Probably a very amateur question but id like to know. Thanks,

 

if you roll a 6 when a skink is shooting you get to skip the strenght vs toughness roll and go straight at aromr and ward saves.

Its worth to note that skink only put poison on ranged weapons as putting it on a hand weapon would be naughty.

 

Seems somewhat daft that a Skink would be smart enough to put poison on a dart but not think to put it on his sword as well.

All skink attacks always poison - Fingers crossed for next book!

 

It always make me wonder, how can skinks throw a poisoned javelin, but when they fight with it in close combat, as javelins are hand weapons, they loose poison
