I am a newb with magic. I'm not sure about portent of far's wording... can I reroll 1's for hits AND wounds or must each effected unit pick a single reroll? Seems to be a pretty good spell if both can be rerolled.

It lets the unit re-roll all 1's to hit OR to wound...

    Not both, Sorry...

"...all subsequent rolls of a one to hit or to wound..."

Either interpretation makes sense. I've always played it as rerolling hits and wounds.

Most of my results from google searching threads about Lore of Heavens seem to indicate hits and wounds. It wouldn't surprise me too much, as you can ONLY reroll 1's, not just any misses or failed wounds.

I can see how it could be interpreted both ways, but I think you can for both hit and wound. The quote in the book (and by kroxigor) suggests that to me, especially since it doesn't say anything about when you might need to choose hit or wound or anything like that. 1's are rerolled.

I guess the wording goes either way when you think about it. I play with alot of people who try to play by the letter of the rules, and that "or" made them iffy. I talked about it, and after thinking about it, they agreed it's probably both...

Sorry if my earlier post was incorrect...

I play it as both wound n hit.
The people that say you need to choose need to get a life.
