K, this may be a dumb question but somebody help me out here please. If an Oldblood mounted on a Carnosaur drinks the potion of speed, it only affects his Initiative, correct? It wouldn't affect the Carnosaur's Initiative, right? I have been playing it as OB only but just wanted to make sure. Thanks.

Prety sure it only effects the old blood, and for thingss like pit of shades and most other initive test I think you just use the best one, I think this was covered in the last FAQ.

Lets see here, potion says bearer has +3 init, so seeing as the carnosaur is not allowed to take magic items i'd say only the OB, who is "bearing" it, may use it.

The problem with using it as protection is that you never know when that pit of shades is comming. Since you have to drink potions at the start of a turn I rarely feel like I use them properly.
