I generally don't protect my slann half as well as I should, giving him 26 TG and then just throwing him into the thickest fighting, often against death star units, and despite this, I've only ever had TWO fat frog deaths ever. Does anyone else do this?

    Hi,

I generally don't put my slann in a TG unit, I'll just leave him by himself. His 4+ ward, 5 W, T4 and Look out Sir are enough for me. I've had my frog die maybe 3 times, 2 times by a miscast. I don't face many cannons though..

The most common cause of slaan death I have observed is miscast. The entire point of putting him in TG is to create a nearly unbreakable anvil to take on the enemy death star. Buffed by light or life, this is usually a very sound approach. Playing against such lizardmen with my other armies, I generally try to avoid the TG bunker for that exact reason and try to wipe out everything else in the army. The only time I have tackled it in combat is with a killer unit such as a horde of dark elf executioners with the ASF death hag BSB after I had nerfed flesh to stone - 30+ attacks at S6 hitting on 3s with re-rolls and wounding on 2's will bring down even a unit of TG in short order!
