Question about modeling

Do you guys fill the gaps between saurus legs and arms with GS before painting them?

I didn't on mine they fit together ok, the couple that didn't I just filled with paint so when it dried it looked well fit together...

I didn't get any gaps... Generally if I do have really small gaps as with most plastic models I'll add a bit of superglue on the outside of the joint while it is drying to act as a small gap filler and also strengthen the bond. A bit of extra paint can work too if you are up to that stage when you notice a line, paint work can also be used to downplay the bit that should be there.

Its mostly only with metal modes I use GS these days.

thx guys for the fast reply! I wasn't really enthousiastic about the idea of filling all of them!lol I'm new to the lizardmen world. This army attracted me since a long time and I'm more than happy to be part of the old ones now! As you can guess by name, I was a Khemrian player before! I will receive the remaining of my lizzies army problably this week and start painting asap! So I'm gonna post pictures of it soon!

I noticed that Saurus (the 16 Saurus box) legs tend not to fit exactly. I just cut off the cone (that fits into the body) and glue it on like that.

I haven't found any trouble with the saurus legs.. It is worth using the pegs if you can since it makes the joint almost unbreakable. I think they have a bit of mold line on them which you need to get rid of, and if they are a bit too long just trim them down a bit. Definitely remember to put the leg on before putting the model into the base or it won't fit. Bit of an awkward design really.

I had the same problem... making the poor guy look a bit cripple if you don't modify it a bit.

Each leg next to the body directly correlates to that particular body. If joined with any others it will have gaps or not fit together properly. I know it sucks, but when assembling Sauros, just assemble their legs onto the body one at a time, that way you don't get any mix matched.

I do the same thing. You don't have to cut the entire cone off... only about half of it needs to be removed.
