I had never noticed that wording before. You are correct... Only the Skink with a feather cloak gets the starbolt attack.

    Yes of course.
I've been playing it that way right from the start.
That attack seldom hit anything for me so I don't care much about it. Most of the time I keep my Priest behind cover so he can't shoot or get shot anyway, which is why I am going for the priestly trappings most of the time.
The mobility and save bonuses aren't worth it either because often you want you stay near some unit to buff it, so you don't need the 14" and since you are in cover the +1 save is meh.

I wonder if there are gifs for all ethnic groups and gender...

And on topic: indeed only the cloaked priest can shoot... leading to a different roll on the table than the one with trappings...

Did I say I've got to get back to work? :vomit:

(Sorry for the double GIF, I couldn't see it when I first posted and I thought something had gone wrong, such as the forum's code being unable to handle GIFs. Now I see everything's going fine. Just removed the extra GIF.)

Anyway I've always tended to forget about the Starbolt, so not having it won't be any great loss. Priestly Trappings are still waaaaaay better than the cloak setup. And if you make your Skink your general (say, in a very small game), the Master of the Star Rituals ability gives you essentially a re-roll on that 4+.

Yep, I've always played it that way

Curiously, for me it's the opposite.
Unless I'm playing a defensive castle, I don't need the re-roll bubble, i just buff the unit that is going to hit hard, and (even more now that we teleport) the additional move plus the +1 saves makes the cloack of feather my favorite choice.
The shooting is just the icing on the cake.

Of course, if you're fielding something as an eternal starhost, priestly trappings all the way!
