If I give a skink chief a terradon to ride.... Can he drop rocks or no? The special rule is under the terradon riders not the terradon itself. And I don't want any "Blah blah why are you taking a chief on a terradon"
Id say he can. Hes riding a terradon so is a terradon rider so id think. terradon rider is just a name for skinks after all that are riding terradons
Normally I would agree and I would probably just play like that anyway unless I got yelled at. However the drop rocks is under the riders (who do have 1 higher toughness than normal skinks so they must be a little "different") oh well if I ever do decide to take one I will prob just assume he can. Actually I guess it would be under the same ruling as if a character joins a unit with a certain ability. Assuming it is legit for him to join the unit he usually adapts to their rules such as Unbreakable, Immune to Psychology, magic resistance etc...)..... However other rules such as fear don't transfer nor does Frenzy (I don't think) so hmmm
If you put a Skink chief on a Stegadon, does it lose any of it's special rules? Nope, it doesn't. If you put the Skink chief on a Terradon does it lose it's Drop rocks rule? Frankly speaking, I doubt it would. In my opinion it's the Terradon that carries the rock and I doubt that the Skink chief considers his Terradon too good to carry a rock so he can better crush the enemies of Lustria... Cheers!
It says it plain and clear in the rulebook if anyone cared to look. On the lords page (p91) under Lords' and Heroes' mounts it says "Terradon (p52): Flying Cavalry, Hit and Run, Drop Rocks, Arboreal Predators". Simple.
