Been playing lizards since they came out (many moons ago) and decided to get back into warhammer. Looking to replace the old models will new and making an army thats different than my spear block "roman" army. Kroq-Gar Saurus Scar-vet (cold-one, light armour) Shield of mirrored pool, Burning blade of chotec Leading 7 cold one riders (Champ/standerd/musc) Huanchi's Blessed totem Saurus Scar-vet (cold-one, light armour/shield, spear) Wardrum of Xahutee Leading 7 cold one riders (Champ/standerd/musc) 10 skink skirmishers 10 skink skirmishers 4 Terradons (Brave included) 2 Salamanders (+2 skinks) Total: 1987 pts. This is all about racing across and shoving it down their throat, not sutle but very blunt. Due note this is not a tourie army as i don't play in them.
You may want to add a skink priest as a scroll caddy or you one one units may be servely damaged by enemy wizard... Then again I am doing a Skink Priest army...
If you left out the terradon brave and one of the additional sallie handlers you could put a battle standard on one of your saurus. The extra static CR would help break units very nicely.
Don't be surprised when you fail your stupidity tests for your Cold One Cavalry and it loses you the game. You have a huge amount of points invested in units that can randomly, for no reason at all, at the most unfortunate times just do nothing and screw your plan up entirely. Feel free to take them and all, its your choice. But i wouldn't have any at all in my army unless I had no other models to field or if someone paid me money. Read the 'Saurus Cavalry Tactica' section on this forum. I nerd-rage hard about them, and some people provided counter-arguaments. Its a good discussion.
