8th Ed. ranged ward save vs miscasts

    Simple question really. Does the 2 plus ward save versus ranged attacks also protect from miscast templates? and does magic resistance help aswell?

    no and no.

    only cupped hands and thrown of vines help against miscast.

    I don't mean if they remove the miscast, but say you roll 6 and it places a str 10 template over my Slann in tg does the things I mentioned help?

    No, it is not a ranged attack. Effectively, it is coming from the Slann.
