Oges are out. After hearing about their catriders (3 wounds, T4, 3+ AS), I've started thinking swapping sallies for Razors. I use sallies mostly as a speedbump/ chaff unit so it wouldnt make a big difference gamevice

As a speed bump, Razordons are better than Salamanders. You can always stand and shoot (2 rolls on the artillery dice too). Their shooting is not as good as the Salamanders and they cannot march and shoot (as their army book entry states that).

I have only taken razordons in a couple of games. They were an average unit for the most part. I did run down a Brett General with one though.

Against Ogres, I find Razors are definately the better choice.
Since Ogres have little to no armor and multiple wounds,
Razors will Definately kill more Ogres than Salamanders.

Gah, so they're still rubbish. Havent noticed that before (maybe because I've only used them in game or 2 during 7th edition)

Because they get 2 artillery dice of shooting when they stand and shoot, a unit of 3 Razordons against Ogres would make a good speed bump.

Only time I found them useful in the past was after I ran them though a river of Necrotic Ooze or Blood Forest; some kind of magical terrain, which gave them poison shooting then they were awesome, but really how often is that going to happen again.

Up until now I had pretty much written them off as a gimmick unit and never really thought about them unless I was playing Wood Elves.

But lots of people at my local breaking out thier Ogres now the new book is out. Might have to give them a try again.

unit of 3 costs 225 (or something like that) pts. I was thinking about unit of 2 or 2 lonely razors

I'd say it depends on deployment and what you want them to achieve. Would they work better as a single unit or better as individual units? I haven't used razordons ever (although I do love the models), but I run my salamanders as 2 separate units. Thats just me though.

Problem is if you misfire with a unit of 3, no shots are fired... and with 6 dices as stand and shoot, that's likely to happen :(.

Actualy you would need 3 missfires (one each) to loose all 6 shots.
    ... Not likely to happen.
