Ok so there weren't really a recipe to eternal life but anyways since I have your attention could you look at my army list please :D

Okey my very first army list was a complete failure but I'm back with a new and more legal one :D

    Core
2 12 x Skink Skirmishers (with Blowpipes and Braves) 180
16 x Saurus Warriors (with Spears, Musician, Standard Bearer) 210

    General
    Skink Priest (level 2) 100

    Special
5 x Cold One Cavalry (with Standard Bearer, Musician, ) 205

    Total: 695 points

So I have 305 points extra, any advice to what magic items I could use them on? Oh and a question: If a unit of saurus (16 saurus warriors) gives a total of 176 without anything and you then add spears as an example do you then add 16 points assuming everyone wears a spear or do you count the amount of spears?

Either way you count the spears, every model must use one if you want to take spears so you need to pay the points for 16 spears in a unit of 16 saurus... You can't just choose to pay the points for spears on half the models.

Can I assume in this list you are mostly using the models you actually own? If so you are obviously limited in what you can change so just stick with what you have. A priest at level 2 could take the feather cloak to fly and get around the board easier, or a scroll to reduce any enemy magic. The saurus unit number is better at 15 (5x3), 18 (6x3) or 20 (5x4) since you can't get rank bonuses for 4 models across. If that is all oyu have for now, run them 5x3 with one extra at the back.

For the extra points... Well that depends on what you have and which way you want the list to go. You could add some terradons and a salamander for a bit of support and probably still have points left. You could add another saurus unit and/or a scar vet to lead the army. Or if you wanted to be nasty you could stick the priest on an engine. :bored:

Sounds good never thought of the 5 x 3 and such I will consider that, I'm getting a stegadon or 2 as mounts and I'll add the items to my skink priest, I've heard some terradons riders aren't that bad either what do you think? Oh and about what models, yes but I can always buy some more, I just wanna make sure I buy the right ones :D

Yeah terradons are a very good option, certainly worth having around in almost any list.

Really... There isn't too much that is 'crap' in the LM army, only razordons aren't really worth their points. So it is up to you, take whatever you like the look and feel of. Try to theme your list a bit, focus on either saurus/combat or magic, they are the two main builds. Decide which one you prefer and aim toward it.

A third of your army suffers from stupidity.
This basically means that a third of your army is stupid.
    Unwise.

    That's harsh.
I do kinda agree, but I also almost never fail stupidity tests on 3 dice :) . Yes, it can stop a game, but it rarely happens. Except in smaller games(in which I almost never use them anyways), they can't cripple a battle plan too bad(mine at least; I don't hinge my battleplan on a cold one charge  ).

Yeah its all good. I wouldn't take it to something serious, but its all good for small games. When your army is bigger you can easily drop them if you feel the need for reliability in tournament games. I love the little Saurus avatar btw..I wunwun!

Thx! I try to have forum-suitable avatars. I got it at this site, there are some dragon ones that might work:http://shrines.rpgclassics.com/genesis/shiningforce/monsters.shtml I have a better one, but it's too big... lizardman_attack.gif
    But.....: lizardmanidle.gif might work.
    And, if not: lizardmanpreview.gif
    Feel free to use 'em.

Anyways, like I said, stupidity can stop a battle plan, but only really in tournaments and small games can that have a reeaally big effect(unless your plan revolves around them).
