today i played a friendly game with ogres. ogre player cast on a unit of himself the regeneration and magic resistance gut spell. when i tried to cast him a magic missile, he claimed that he has 2+ ward save. i didnt notice it at first cause of my agony, but when i thought of it more clearly i saw that is a bit too buffed gutting spell that. i asked him why and he answer me that regeneration and magic resistance stacking together, giving him that save, claiming that regeneration is a kind of special ward save. i new that magic resistance stack with ward save, but i argue him. we finally roll for the most important rule, but i really want to know if i was correct, or if regeneration indeed is stacking with magic resistance. i would really like your lights, co-lizardmen players.
Regeneration does NOT stack with magic resistance. MR only stacks with a ward save. And of course you can only use either the ward or the regen.
yeah! i thought so too.. thanx.. is there any oficial faq from games workshop or anything else that i could prove myself to my fellow?
Yes there is. GW just put out a huge FAQ for 8th. But I think your answer is just in the regular rules, probaly under Regen or Ward save special rules.
problem is that my fellow player doesnt beleive me. we check the rules over and over again and he wasnt convised...
