Once, when on scribd, I came across a old lizardmen army book- 6th edition, i think.
I loved the idea there of the sacred marks of the old ones, like marks of chaos but for lizardmen. I thought that perhaps, in friendly games this could be the counter to the fragility of the skinks or the poor initiative of the saurus warriors. So, I did some research and found some marks, but I wanted to know decisively more about the marks, what they do, and any websites where more info. can be found.

Here is what I know already:

Chotec: +D6 to pursue/overrun, pick the two/three highest results 20/15 pts

Sotek: +1A on the charge. 30/20 pts

Huanchi: Woods and forest count as open ground. 25/20 pts

Quetzl: Scaly skin +1 30/15 pts

Tepok: +1 dispel dice for every unit with this mark in play. 30/20 pts

    Tlazcotl: Immune to Psychology 20/20pts

    Tzunki: Aquatic and +1I 10/5pts

Xhotl: 5+ ward save (don't know how many points)

I would take a mixture of Tzunki, Xhotl and Quetzl, due to the preservative or initiative-boosting properties of these marks.

    Thanks for any help!!!

Yeah. They NEED to bring back Sacred Spawnings in 8th. Feels lame that Chaos and other armies get similar things and they took ours away.

Totally agree with bringing back the Sacred Spawnings. They're a cool way of customizing your army, too.

Agreed that was the biggest thing I missed when we got a new book, that and Krox should go back to S7 with GW

I find S7 + GW is a bit overkill but they should get T5 S5 and GW...

yeah, let them bring back the Sacred Spawnings! Bring entire armies of different types of Saurus Warriors filling every nook and cranny of your army!

I remember having a regiment of Core Saurus, having a load of saurus Warriors in my specials with a single spawning (that includes the CoC's) and those with two spawnings into rares, and watch your enemies tremble as they run their asses off for your Chotec regiment and you're just overrunning them in a jiffy.

or see the surprise on their face when you suddenly charged through a forest with your Huanchi regiments xD
even better when they tried to terror your units away and it turns out to be Tlazcotl who spawned them xDD
