Salamander conversion

So i have some left over bits from my Stegadons, the Sunfire thrower parts. And I was thinking of using a skink and the pipe as a proxy for the Salamanders. Thoughts?

Add some skink carriers and a base/platform for the pipe and you also have the handlers... or maybe just use the pipe and and have one skink on the front end and one at the back... one is aiming and one shoots...
