heys guy i was wondering if the salamanders did D3 damage to multiple wounds models? I am going up against a daemons of chaos player and was wondering if the sallies would do multiple damage to the flamers. and on a side note, is there any advice on going up against the khorne daemons?

There aren't any rules in the army book or FAQ that indicate the salamander's flame does multiple wounds.

also it not a breath attack,
it has more in common with the warmachines that use the flame template.
    (flame cannon, warpfire thrower, ect..)

Daemons don't panic. Salamanders are great for taking out Daemonic Core and weak against pretty much everything else on the Daemon list. Since you can't panic or disrupt anything and have to rely on pure damage it's also better on the relatively slower troops.
