I was using my salamanders yesterday in a game wanted to know do they count as breath waepons? Cause the rules say breath weapons can only be used 1 time per game. Please help
No, it is not count as BW, you can use it in every shooting phase. In AB is only something, like " play AS bw", not IT IS BW.
They are not a Breath Weapon but are treated as such when firing. That is why Salamanders, a unit that can move 12" and fire a Strength 3 -3 Save template, is so awesome at any points level. An off-topic question, if you had the task of nerfing Salamanders how would you do so? I personally would reduce its breath weapon to strength 2 AP but allow it to stand and shoot with it and use it as a BW without one use only.
i think dropping the armor save to maybe a -2 and no panic test on casualties if I was going to nerf it without breaking it.
