I am going to start playing WH, and will be playing lizardmen for a multide of reasons. I have been playing 40k for some time as well as a few other games. I purchased a Battleforce (not the one as "pre-order" right now) and am having problems with the Sarus warriors. The slot for the base on the models is significantly larger then the slot on the base. I would have to trim to the point that one foot has no touching on the base or almost none of both to get it to fit. What do you guys normally do?? Thanks!
do you mean the little thing that the feet are attached to? It happens with metal models to, and I just trim the thing till it fits. I trim the sides and a little on the short sides.
I found my problem. The sarus uses a slighly larger base then the skink. However, There was only one and not on a spure in my box, so GW shorted be my bases. I have based all the skinks in the box and only have the cav bases left (and the one random slighly bigger). I did not know there were several sizes of "normal" square bases.
Yep that would quite possibly be it. Most WHFB models go on 20mm (you can measure it) bases, which are the smaller ones. Larger infantry like Orcs, Saurus, Chaos warriors take the 25mm bases. If you didn't get any of them you will want to go back to GW and complain. My Saurus fit in really easily without any cutting, in fact I usually find there is a gap to fill.
Agree with strewart here. my sauruses slips easily down in their bases as well, but If you've got wrong sice, you should take it back to the store and get it right. shouldn't be a problem
