Here's my proudly defiant Astrolith Bearer (with the typical square base of old BSB)

    Here's my bad-boy:
Hefted into battle by a mighty Saurus warrior, the sacred Astrolith crackles and pulses with immensely powerful cosmic energies. When the rotating discs align and lock, devastating celestial power is unleashed upon the enemy, splitting them apart with the furious power of the heavens. Seraphon fighters who stand near the Astrolith are imbued with this power, and can perform heroic feats previously thought impossible. The Saurus who clutches this artefact would sooner be torn to shreds than relinquish his grip - this resolve, combined with the Azyrite power flowing through him, makes him a formidable warrior who will readily savage any threat.

Love the red on that, it pops without taking he focus away from the other details .

Would you be comfortable adding a basic highlight to the skulls? Would be the next step for this model if you felt like taking further.

That Red with the brown & orange tones, keeping that on complimentary colour palette. Really like it.

I actually did highlight it with screaming skull. Although, i think I put agrax on afterward. First I based them with a light brown followed by ivory and highlighted with screaming skull then finally finished them with agrax.

The picture makes the skulls look more brown then they actually are. You're right though I think I'll definitely put the screaming skull on last next time. Thanks.

So much detailed work, and you left a mold line across his face :(

You can see mould lines on both arms and legs too you know.

Some people don't mind mould lines so no biggie. I always found Lizardmen mould lines are particularly painful to remove because they're right across the jagged back spines, vastly complicating the removal process.

Yeah, this is the problem I've found with them (and don't get me started in finecast!), I left it rather than ruin any detail. Its not the end of the world, they are after all plastic models.
