Do Saurus Warriors really need a command?

I've been seeing arguments for both sides and I'm really unsure if I should be allowing for this in my points total.
Mainly the musician and Standard. Champion doesn't seam worth it unless I plan to run a character/hero in the unit.

I always buy a standard and muso for any saurus block over 15 models. I only buy the champion if I plan on putting a character in the unit or if I have points left over and cant figure out what to do with them.

Standard and musician are pretty much required for any decent sized infantry unit. Its free combat resolution, if you don't take them then you just give your opponent the chance to beat you with theirs. I used to leave musicians at home to save points, but really.. The amount of drawn combats I had that all of a sudden went my opponent's way, you might as well just buy them.

Unit champ, I am a fan usually. If a lord on dragon or unit with anabsolte combat monster character charges you, issue a challenge and all of a sudden they can only kill 1 of your unit. Yes you will probably still lose due to overkill in the challenge, but its worse if they cut half your unit down and reduce ranks etc. So good to have just in case, and of course always if there will be a character there. However, they should be the first thing removed if you are short on points.

Don't forget the ability to do a swift reform with a musician. Although blocks won't normally use it as often as say cavalry or archers, it's still a valuable ability.
