Hi all, I have a question, Can I put a Scar Veteran on a Cold One in a unit of Kroxigors?? Thanks in advance!
Ummm. I dont think you can, but my knowledge is faulty at best. A better idea would to put the krox behind a skink screen, and the scar vet (upgraded with the best money can buy) could go in a saurii unit to provide some hitting power. If the scar vet is your general keep him with the saurii, if not make him a JSoD or Jungle Saurus of Death... *pause for dramatic effect* Hope this helps kov
Yes, you can put different sized models into various sized units. The main exception to this rule is that you can not place characters on monsterous mounts (or indeed monsterous characters unless mentioned otherwise) within units. The ScarBSB within a Kroxigor unit is a time-honored strategy, so go for it. I do not have my rulebook with me, but unless something changed drastically in 7th edition (I know for a fact mounted units can join infantry units without look out sir penalties), this is a legal ploy. Do keep in mind, however, that the unit will still have to test for stupidity (the stupidity test occurs before a character can elect to leave the unit), and it cannot charge through skink screens.
Uh...a quick question about your post, SohCohToa, I believe that Krox don't have the Stupidity rule. I've the book right in front of me to make sure, though I must say the idea of a Scar-Vet or even an Oldblood with some Kroxigors makes me grin. (A quick note to the idea though is be sure you take into account the slowdown the Scar-Vet would cause with his Mvt 4 to the Krox's 6, which could prove ugly against shooting)
The Scar-vet rides on a Cold One. So his movement will be enough to keep up with te krox, and the stupidity also comes form the Cold One. But with a Ld 8 an cold blooded it is hard to fail it.
