    Hi all,

    We are playing a campaign and there will be a jousting tournament.
    So we all use one hero to battle each other.
    There are a few rules:

    He must be mounted;
    He can't be over 150 points.

    This is what i was thinking about;

    Scar Vet
    Burning blade of Chotec
    Shield
    Light armour
    Cold one

    133 points

    This would give me a hard hitting hero who can deal with those (probably) 0+ armour saves from the empire,
    and regeneration from VC.

    What do you guys think? Will this work? Or do you have other ideas?

    Yeah i know, but i want to modify his AS as best as possible.

    I will change my shield for the enchanted shield so i get a 0+ save also.

    But how to deal with HE? I play them myself to and the star lance + talisman of loec is pretty deadly...

    The Star Lance is like, 60 points, no? He'll be hard pressed to fit that under 150 points.

    There is one fairly petty way of dealing with them

    Get a car with a big boot, wait for the HE player to turn up, snag said player in a giant net, bundle them in the boot of the car....when they don't turn up they can't compete.

    Remember to leave water in there for them...and a plastic sheet beneath them always helps.....

    On a more serious note, I'm not familiar with the HE stats, what does the combo come out to?

    It sounds like it would work fine. Mayhaps you should go into more detail about the Jousting tournament though. Is it set up like a normal battle, but with only the two characters?

    I don't know any more rules. The GM keeps its secret to surprise us....

    The HE combo will be like;

    M8 so he outmove me
    S7 on the charge and negates AS (star lance)
    He can reroll his dice for hitting and wounding in exchange for 1 wound.

    So basicly he gets 4 WS6 S7 rerollable attacks before me....

    Dont forget the ASF, thats every round (assuming you live)

    What I recommend here is a nice ward save

    just to stir things up you might go with a chief on a terrie light armour, enchanted shield, piranha blade or BBoC, and spear for the charge or if you can manuver drop rocks and the staff of the lost sun

    I wouldn't worry about regenerating vampires. The damn banner costs 125 pts.

    I would like to take a skink chief on terradon. But it isn't allowed. Pegasus knights aren't allowed either etc etc.

    What would be the best defense setup?

    You could try giving him a horned one (m8)

    was just thinking watch out for rhinox riders i think that they come in under 150 points and if so they may very well dominate the day and they are calvary just a scary thought but they are kinda rare
