So you will have seen my 2400 South Coast Grand Tournament list posted in the army section and tickets went on sale at 19:15 GMT today. Within 30 minutes over 140 out of the 160 tickets had been sold! Crazy! Is anyone on the forum attending the tournament, it will be my first and wouldn't mind some general advice for somones first tournament beyond 'dont expect to win'
remember the best parts about tournaments are meeting new people and getting new ideas/inspirations. If you unsure of something in your opponents army do not feel intimidated asking about it. Also if someone is talking up their big bad unit/character/monster either avoid it altogether or do you best to destroy it completely. If it looks like they spent a lot of time converting and painting it it means destroy it, your opponent will feel disheartened somewhat and might be prone to making mistakes in order to protect their centre piece. Conversely if the unit/character/monster has not had a lot of love spent on it, then your opponent is trying to psyche you out and make you focus on that target in order to force mistakes from you. In short, you will need to play the players as well as the game.
