I was wondering if anyone has tried Sveljirs Hex Scroll with the Blood Statuette of Spite? It would give you a pretty sure kill against any lv 2 wizard and even a 33% chance to take out a lv 4.

Although the most useful part might be that any arcane items that secondary wizard might have would be useless for at least one magic pase. So if you know he is holding a dispel scroll or whatnot, ideas?

I have tried it. I put the hex scroll on a lvl 1 priest. That almost guarantees that the enemy turns into a toad (the target must test vs the scroll user's lvl-1 in this case, so he turns into a frog on a 2+) . When my next magic phase came along, I used the blood statuette, it was dispelled (I should have used some casting dice and wasted my opponents dispel dice before I used it). It was very effective in removing the caster from play for 3 turns (if I remember correctly).

It can be an effective tactic.

Your wording isn't clear, but if you meant to imply that the lvl 1 skink makes it go off on a 2+, that is incorrect. The enemy rolls against his own lvl.

Thanks for showing this trick though, another nasty scroll+lizardmen item to add to the playbook. Probably not as effective as feedback/cupped hands+bane head when trying to kill high lvl wizards, but fun nonetheless.

My mistake. I thought I read that somewhere. I looked it up and I played it wrong in the game I played. Thanks for pointing that out.
