It must be just me and my dice. I field a nice big unit of kroxigors and they get disintergrated. Sure, it was againsts dark elves, and they had great weapons, but I should be able to roll more than 2 hits. Surely, i'm not overreacting...
My Old Blood rolls at least two 1's or 2's to hit and at least one 1 to wound every time I attack! I can't wait for the game where the other shoe falls!
I'm glad i'm not the only one who is hated by the dice gods. Also, an elf hero lucked out with 2 killing blow hits against chakax, which i only saved one. He should have turned that elf into squish elf mush. Such a disappointment. I haven't been using oldbloods much because i like my slann to be kitted right out!
I've rolled 4 rolls of 1 with thunderstomp in a single game. Was good times With that said my dice from lustria appear to roll a ton of 6s when my skinks need to parry/armour save. It's quite absurd really
I need me some of those!! oh, also! My stubborn stegadon got rundown by cold one knights after the steg charged it. It was a terrible game. Just when i think i've seen the worst luck, i see brand new heights! p.s. i think i do need to steal your dice, because i can't wait for the next group purchase of LM dice!!
unfortunately that's just going to happen on an overcoasted WS 3 model that strikes last. i'm not sure what would make kroxigor better, but they need something somewhere. perhaps a better save, or the ability to use great weapons at initiative value.
So S7 with T5 at 50pts a piece? Yeah that wouldn't be OP at all I'm not sure how to "fix" kroxigors. If we're talking T5 the price will have to be bumped. A regeneration would require the same. How about an extra attack? That would work better with PF and somewhat make up for the models we'll eventually lose before they strike.
I actually think that Kroxigor are pretty reasonable for their cost. They aren't Nurgle Ogres, but they do have a better Save and Strength. They aren't Trolls, but they are quicker and are easier to control. At S7 I don't think you can reasonably bring them down any lower than 50. The problem, I think, is that everything good is in Special. Once you get 6-8 Kroxigor, which I'd love to run, plus a Temple Guard combat block (because you want at least two worthwhile combat blocks, right?), you've not got room for much else. Core, Slann, Oldblood, Scar-Vet, Skink Priest, plus 24 Temple Guard and 8 Kroxigor, puts you at 2.3k as it is, leaving a hard choice between Terradons, Camo Skinks and Salamanders. Why not? Its a good lore for Lizardmen all around. You get easy access to it through cheap Priests and Tetto, the signature Spell has amazing utility, Curse and Harmonic are great buffs that really help Saurus, Comet is brilliant, and it has a bunch of low-level magic missiles.
The dice curse have outright cursed me. It was pretty much hinted when playing D&D but when I pick up warhammer I became as certain as sunrise that the dice gods cursed me. Today there were a total of 5 handlers eaten, not a single spell succesfully cast on my side and lots of attacks that just seemed to bounce of my enemy. The best moment of the day was when I slew a phoenix. Which was more my opponents bad rolls then my good rolls. What oh what could I do to get in favor with the dice gods? Or should I just start an outright revolution to destroy them and become the god of dice rolls myself?
yes, that sounds familiar! i have to sets of dice, but changing the dice doesn't seem to do a thing! Be careful with your dice god blasphemy... you may get smited (worse than you have been already!)
I was referring to the topic "kroxigor make me sad." I feel like thats bound to happen on, IMO, an overcoasted ws3 model that strikes last. They are a unit thats going to make you sad at some point because, unfortunately, they just dont seem very good.
I have a couple of the old metal ones. I've literally never used them once :/ Feel the same way about the carnosaur. Love the model so damn much he's the first thing in my lists.
The new carno is growing on me, but he's in the same boat as the Krox with low WS. My main issue with ithe new model was that the head is tiny compared to the old one. but it's slowly growing on me. Grymloq killed the keeper of secrets nice and good (in one round of combat) at my last tourney. So i'm happy with him haha
Yeah GW definitely went with a different aesthetic on the new model. Little less dinosaur, but overall i still love it. At first i wasn't a huge fan of the front two arms but now i love it.
That would be bad... Especially now that I have to fight WOC this thursday. Gonna need all the good rolls I can get. Maybe its time to build an altar for my dice. Maybe that will please the gods.
