best god damn army going! they need a dragon tho, im thinking like a mechanical dragon im sure the skyre engineers can cook one up
Hmmm what kind of thread is this meant to be? I sense a hint of sarcasm, but hard to tell on the net. They are still a competative army, with some parts of the book too powerful even by today's lists standards (daemons withstanding of course) and I do not think a mechanical dragon would be a good idea at all to be honest... Hell the empire mechanical horse was bad enough.
Yeah I would be fine with the doomwheel returning, it is quite an amusing and fluffy piece. My friend has experimental rules and often uses one anyway, they are tough but look cool. Dragons not only do not suit skaven, a mechanical one is technology that I think is well beyond even the Skaven. Though I guess I wouldn't put it past them, I am still bitter about the nuclear bomb they managed to cook up in the Storm of Chaos.
see thats cuz ur underestimate them being a fellow ratman i kno wot secrets we hold.. so prepare for more shocks
what about the big rat demon thing they used to have it was about the size of a greater deamon that is about as bad as a dragon
The Vermin Lord? It was around in 5th ed I believe so it was before I started WHFB, but from what I have heard it was easily a match for a greater daemon. It could maybe come back, but it would have to be watered down a bit. GW doesn't really lean toward individual very powerful models, except LM does have a bit of a focus on stegs. All of 4th and 5th ed focused on individual characters, some capable of destroying whole armies by themselves. Nothing can really do that now, though there is still the odd crazy powerful guy that gets through.
I would pt a great unclean one against a whole army, honestly. And those are still here. What about the Skaven Black Ark, or Dark Ark; the casket of souls like thing? Any rumors that will be back?
Seems older than 6th, we are on 7th now, and 6th was the first time they included magicn in the mainstream rules, the magic references in that seems to suggest pre-6th. I could be wrong though Still an interesting read
Definitely pre-6th, the current Skaven book is the 6th edition one. They are coming out with a 7th edition later this year. 4th or 5th ed probably, though the model looks very old.
