Well I've recently started playing the all skink army and it has become quickly labeled the skink army of doom by my opponents. I recently went to a 20 man tourney, about as large as they get in the local area and finished the 5 game event with 2 wins 2 draws and a loss. The loss was to a vampire counts player that won best general. The list currently sits at 1 loss (tourney loss) 4 draws and 10 wins. At the tourney I face High elves dark elves wood elves dem,ons and vampire counts comp for the list was 12 out of 25 BOOOOOOO Won best sport came 2nd for painted and 7th overall (comp hurt as with 6 more points in comp i finish 3rd) 2250 Pts - Lizardmen Roster - Unnamed 1 Skink Chief 1 Ancient Stegadon 1 Stegadon War-Spear 1 Skink Chief (Battle Standard Bearer) 1 Stegadon 1 Huanchi's Blessed Totem 1 Skink Priest Level 2 Upgrade 1 Ancient Stegadon 1 Dispel Scroll 1 Diadem of Power 16 Skinks 2 Kroxigor 16 Skinks 2 Kroxigor 11 Skinks 1 Kroxigor 10 Skinks 10 Skinks 7 Chameleon Skinks 8 Chameleon Skinks 2 Razordon Hunting Pack 2 Salamander Hunting Pack Total Roster Cost: 2250 Funny thing is the DE player I faced had a lvl 4 with the bound power of darkness and a lvl 2 and had a comp score of 20, go figure
Hmm very interesting list, I think the comp hit may have been more for the number of stegadons but either way.. How do you play the army?
3 stegadons in a 2250 army isnt many. I have 2 in mine, a kitted out SMP and alot of temple guards. Wish I had enough kroxigor to run that list man, looks like a lot of fun add:are any of those skinks skirmishers? just wondering as I had much better luck with my skirmishers and chameloens lately than ranked skinks
yes I use them as rank and file skinks. They serve an important role in the army. They are by and large my redirection units. Skirmishing skinks are better (with javs) but as you allign to the charger it means he gets to dictate his over run or pursuit direction. I really play coy with my stegs. They are the key to the army and if things start to go bad then points denial with the stegs can earn me a draw. There are alot of neat tricks with this army, I'll get some pics up soon. The army is painted to a high level and looks really impressive on the battle field. Everything in the army is about getting that warspear into a target of my choice, and I must say, MV 6 infantry gets the charge off so often that the krox at least get to swing before they go down. (many people target the krox to break my imunity to fear and lower my ld to 6) back with more tommorow
