After reading the new book, i think i have come up with a pretty potent first / second turn skink bomb tactic, it involves a couple of skink priests, one with a cloak, one with a magic carpet, and lord kroak. the basic idea is you fly the priest forward so that they placed n good positions across the enemies army, making sure you have a few units near them, then in the magic phase you channel lord kroaks spell though the skinks, if your lucky you will get the spell of at least 3 times. if the spell is targeted at the same units repeatedly thats 6 d6 s4 hits per unit! turn 1 thats going to hurt. whats even better is that the skinks cause even more annoyance as the opponents units then have to pass a LD test to march due to the proximity of the skinks. if the opponent doesn't kill the skinks you can repeat the spell again, and again. what do you guys think
I think its to much point investment for not much if your lucky and get those six d six each its not bad but if you roll poor too much points goes to waist. But have to try
I was thinking about this same think as well. It is dependent on the winds of magic but aren't most Slang tactics? I was trying to think of a way to not make them "disposable" though. Possibly move them up on the flanks with skirmishers on turn one and then fly over top turn 2? That way at least they could be behind the lines. Either way I think it's a pretty cool idea.
See i also had a similar idea with a normal slann, but using the 8 sig spells focus, which we all have to admitt, is pretty bad ass!!
