Skink Priest conversion ideas

Hi everyone. I am looking to have every Skink Priest in my army be unique. Between the 3 models, Steg priest, and the Trog Oracle, it has been pretty easy so far. However, it's only a matter of time until I need to start looking for parts from other armies.

Other than the Empire Battle Wizard multikit, where are people getting their magic weapons, etc from?

 

There's a really great head and some weapons/books in the 'Herald of Tzeentch on Burning Chariot' kit that you can scavenge even if you build the exalted flamer; I've also seen a lot of cool conversions come out of bits of the tomb kings kits. The Terradons have been the most useful in loose feathers and tokens in my own army. I dream of getting my hands on a Bloodwrack Medusa!

 

It depends, lore of heavens could be just holding an orb, or beasts could be coated in feathers, you can pinch a few of them off of saurus totems,it all depends o. The themes you want to go for!

I kinda feel beasts needs to be animalistic, but don't let that put you off of a nice shiny wizard

 

@Bufo I haven't gotten my hands on the new terradon kit yet. Christmas list will fix that for sure! All of the feathers and tokens sounds like a great idea. Add feathers for Beasts and tokens for Heavens. Couple staves/banners from tomb kings could work.

@Axo I agree with you about the Beast priest. For a Heavens priest, I could use the new model with his hand palm up. Place an orb in it. Maybe clip off some of the feathers to reduce the Beast-ishness.

One of the staves from the Empire battle wizard kit reminds me of Tetto's staff. Given that Tetto is usable in 8ed and $50, I would like to avoid buying him just for parts (though he has a great staff and orb). Personally, I want to avoid books and scrolls and stick with tablets for fluff reasons.

The Cold One Calery and Stegadon kits ave a lot of extra Lizardy bits.

 

I actually find the Feather's symoblize heaven very well, and the old one is very beastlike.

But that's probably just preference.

Feather are light and usually airborne, and the staff and stance he has seems very regal to me, thus i go with heavens.

And the old one reeks hiked through a swamp to get here - hence beasts
